Chairman's Welcome

On behalf of Craigbane I would like to welcome you all to our website. This is a club which has been in existence from 1934 and I am priviliged to be added to the list of prestigious people who have had the honour of being chairman.

Throughout the years the club has had great success, both on and off the field. The success on the field culminated in us being the first Derry club to win the Ulster Intermediate Championship. We have had success off the field also and are proud of our current facilities. This has come about through the time, patience and hard work of our committees and members throughout the years, as well as the generosity from our local community.

The continued success of any club will only be guaranteed through attracting and developing the young people within our area - both male and female. Again we have been, and continue to be very fortunate in this department. Our success here can be measured through the number of players - from both sexes- who have represented their county, at all levels, in the last 25+ years. They have been excellent ambassadors for this club. Thanks to all the coaches within the club for making this possible.

Finally I would like to thank all our sponsors, especially our main sponsor, Lynco. Without them none of this would be possible. Please browse through our website. The pictures may hold some good memories for you. Perhaps you were one of the players, perhaps you remember the occasion and enjoyed the craic. We believe the football club was, is and will continue to be, a central part of the community. As such we would like you to enjoy our website. Please feel free to leave a message on the guestbook.
